Weightloss Journey Week #1

So, I've technically been starting the journey since about the first week of December.  However, as crazy as it's been, I have not been consistent, AT ALL!!  Today was no exception being that it was my baby girl's 2nd birthday (Happy Birthday Beautiful!!!)

Anyways, where to start? Well, I've been up and down my ENTIRE life.  But I am just below my heaviest ever (with my heaviest being while I was preggo with my last baby).  I don't want to go giving stats and pics and all that just yet.  I want to wait until I really start to see some results before I share or show anything more personal.  Let's just say I have well over 100lbs to lose to be anywhere even close to the "recommended weight". I won't be going that far, because any time I have, I've looked sick.   So I will stop when I feel I've reached the best for me!

I do have a sort of plan, and believe me when I say, I'm trying!! Now that I have a part time in a local gym, I have free membership and I'm going to use it to the best I can.  For now, I am going to be working out 5 days a week.  What I do depends on the times I do it and all.   I LOVE taking the classes.  I've tried Sh'Bam, Zumba, and Body Jam.  Sh'Bam is by far my favorite right now.  I am trying to add in more weights instead of just doing all dancing classes.  Soon, I'd like to try Body Pump, which has weights in it!!

My BIGGEST struggle by far, is food.  I have a lot of issues with being picky and all.   So I try my hardest with what I can.   Unfortunately, I'm a Carbaholic!!  There, I admit it.  I am your bread, pasta, and cereal girl.  LOVE them all.  However, I'm trying to work on cutting that down, at least in half, but not much more than that.  I have also started with an Herbalife meal replacement shake a day of which, a scoop of protein powder shake is added.  Last Time I tried to cut down on carbs, I gave up because I became so frustrated with all the things I couldn't have and was bored out of my mind with the food I was eating.  So, I'm tying to change it gradually.  Tonight, we went to Chili's to celebrate baby girl's birthday.  Tho we usually order the 2 for $20 and get appetizers and I eat the burger and fries, this time I went for a chicken sandwich.  Still had the fries, but baby steps!!  LOL

This week, my goals are to get through the rest of the week doing all my workouts and cheating VERY little.  I am on this journey for good now.  This section of my blog is a bit more personal than I usually am on here.  You will probably see me struggle and fall of the horse many times!!!  But I'm hoping that by having a place to put everything down, it will help me either stay on it longer, or get back on it quicker!!  Everyone has their own favorite quotes about these types of things.  What's yours?
